About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

WE COULD BUILD AN IGLOO!!

We made it home late Monday afternoon.

Our good neighbor, Rich McNamara, had plowed us out a "hole (as he called it) in our driveway so we could get our 5th wheel and truck parked.

Why is it coming HOME and unloading all your worldly possessions is SO MUCH HARDER than it is packing up and leaving for 6 months??

Here is a SMALL example of what just one room of our home looks like...

I am ashamed to even take a photo of the rest of our home, let alone the office which I am amazed that I can even find my laptop in this mess!!!

And here is a teaser of what our parking area looks like (you don't even want to see the rest of the yard or campground)

Yep, next year, as far as I'M concerned,we'll shoot to be home May 1st!

You could tell as we got closer and closer to the Mighty Mac (our "driveway") Dan was getting more and more excited about being back in da Yoop...

AND THEN THERE IS MY VERSION OF GETTING HOME.  Ya know it is a wonderful place to be when you have to pay admission to get in!!! (well, bridge fare anyway!!)
More later!!!!
