About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

BAD NEWS VS GOOD NEWS

The bad news is our dear neighbor is in the Marquette hospital.

The good news is that they asked us to collect the eggs from their hens...and they are nice, big BROWN eggs.

The bad news is that eggs don't last very long if it is not a chicken who sets on them, but it is a human instead.

The good news I just sat on one out of 4.  THAT one was in my left pocket of a coat that is too big, so it is good news too that I had it in a coat pocket and not just in my hand.

The bad news is that just as Dan started to say, "get your coat out of the way", I'd already sat in the truck on my overgrown coat pocket.

The good news is the other 3 eggs in my other pocket remained unscathed.

The bad news is that the deer had a really rough winter in our neck of da woods.

The good news is that Dan can actually give this buck back his antlers and his nose!!

  1. The good news is that There is nothing like fresh eggs! The bad news is that they are difficult to remove from coat pockets unless they are intact!
