The TX RDH was offering quite a nice menu for the Vets to that is where we decided to go. Karen and I both ended up bringing about 1/2 of OUR lunch home with us (our meal was not free, but it sure was good and plenty of it!). It was extremely PACKED!
Yesterday, I spent the morning and part of the afternoon getting laundry all done up. So glad we don't have to go to a laundromat to do it! The only good thing about going to a laundromat is you can get it all done at one time. But at least this gave me some exercise walking from our home on wheels to Toby's home where the w & d is.
Tomorrow, November 15th, is the BIG DAY IN MICHIGAN!!! (A little Yooper talk now...) All da women head to da nearest Shop-ko and actually encourage da husbands to go do deer camp....for da next two weeks! WAY back when, kids in Michigan schools use to be able to take da day off to go huntin wit der fodders!
So here is a couple of Yooperism's for ya;
Ya might be a Yooper if your wife's Lady Remington is a 30-06
Your wife's nightgown says "Fred Bear Archery
Your best cloths are reversible, Blaze Orange to Camouflage
Only know Ted Nugent for his archery equipment
Your idea of deer hunting is driving down the logging roads in your 4 wheel drive WITHOUT your gun
You're turned on by a woman who can field dress a deer
You’ve ever hit a deer with your car…deliberately
AND SO GOES IT FOR DA YOOPER HUNTERS WHO ARE BOTH MEN AND WOMEN!
I'm posting a few shots here that I took yesterday. I haven't really done much with photography since we've been here since we've been working the deer check station and haven't had a reason to be out on the refuge.
