This critter has a face only a mother could love, but if I remember my biology class, he/she will never know who his/her mother is. It would be wonderful if we could get shots of when this caterpiller becomes a chrysalis, but I think he/she is rather timid. You would be too if you looked like this for YOUR close up!!
I am counting the minutes until we can lock the lobby for the day. I made peanut butter syrup for ice cream...and it is SO very good. It boiled a bit too long so it is too thick. After you warm it up in the microwave and then pour it over the cold ice cream, it becomes very unpliable again! BUT, DAMN, IT IS GOOD!!!
I'm honored to say that one of my blog readers from Indiana is staying here tonight. She and hubby have made the Lake Superior Circle tour, or at least they are finishing it up (as I recall). It is always great to meet a reader!! Thanks for staying with us!!
Have a great weekend, or what is left of it!
- Cathy Clementz
- A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!
