About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

I love chocolate.  I try to stay away from it when possible because once I start I just can't seem to stop.

Last night I was having a chocolate fit...and no chocolate in the house.

So, I whipped up two mugs of microwave brownies.  It was the first time I ever tried it and BOY is it GOOD!!!  Especially if ya drizzle some Hershey's syrup on top and then mix it all up.  BTW, ONE mug WAS for Dan.

And we've both been hungry for Ben and Jerry's EVERYTHING BUT THE...  It is a to die for concoction of chocolate and vanilla ice cream, slivers of white chocolate, little bitty Reese cups, chocolate covered almonds and some caramel mixed in.

Since one of those litty bitty cartons costs about $5.00 here I decided to make our own.

Right now I've got a 5 qt pail of chocolate/vanilla swirl melting in a HUGE bowl.  Once that melts enough to add my secret ingredients...pretty much everything THEY put in except I couldn't find any slivers of white chocolate, mix it up and freeze it.  Hopefully it will be just as good as the original!

But in the meantime, I sure  hope you enjoy this song!  I CAN RELATE!!
