I thought about titling this "Sleepless in Newberry" but I think that title has been done to death of various places in the world.
So, I just figured I'd give it a truthful title.
Dan and I don't get much sleep this time of year. Up late and up early...but since we didn't have that many campers last night it was feeling SOOOO good to just stay in bed and doze.
But someone from Canada had different ideas.
The phone rang at 4: frickin' 30 a.m.!!! Of course we were concerned it was one of the kids or something about my Mom. We waited to answer it till it rang over to the 2nd line but whomever it was had hung up.
I checked to see who the call could be from at that time of "day". I wrote the # down and then checked it when I finally got up and around an hour or so later. It is a Quebec area code and I did come up with a name. I think I should return the favor to that person in the middle of the night (except I don't want to spend the $$ and I won't be up THAT late!).
So anyway, that is how OUR day has started.
Now, doesn't this look like a place you would like to stay for a while?? I mean, don't you enjoy NOT having to get up when you are feeling comfy??
BUT, on the other hand, I DO have to make strawberry shortcake for dessert tonight as a follow up to my baked version of beef and noodles. Our daughter hopes to be here about 3:00 p.m. and will be here for 4 nights!!! Can't wait to see her!!
Hope you all have a great day!!!

- A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!
