About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

GETTING TO KNOW YOU PART 2

The photo above is Toby.  He is "our" Afghan veteran.  If I remember correctly, he will be heading back again to Afghan soon.  He is a sweetheart with a great sense of  humor.  Toby has been very helpful to us.

This photo is Nathan.  Nathan and his family live on the refuge.  His little girl, Anslee, will be turning one year old this month.  Nathan is quit the proud papa...and with good reason. She is a little sweet heart.  Dan and I would like to adopt Nathan and his family.

I tried to post a couple more shots this a.m. but wasn't having any luck.  It took me about 20 minutes to get this far.  I think a satellite system will be in our future for RV'ing.

  1. Your co-workers look like a great group of people.

Sorry your having such slow connections-- that is so frustrating.

Have a great week, xo jj

  2. Joanne, they are all special in their own way.

I hate this internet connection!!! Right now I'm at Toby's doing laundry and using his DSL. I think I've lost a lot of readers this year due to my lack of posts.
