About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

It makes one wonder how many spiders there are per square foot??  How many webs belong to one spider???

Well, that took 10 minutes to upload!  Why not try another one???

You get the idea.  It was web after web upon web.  Totally amazing to see!!

And Carolyn, our boss, has her daughter convinced that these are spun by the faeries in honor of St. Patricks Day.

See, there is a Georgia folk lore "legend" about Leprechauns.  It appears that Leprechauns in Georgia like to mess things up when no one is looking.  And I mean as create a mess.

Carolyn's daughter is now concerned that after "being told" to clean her bedroom this weekend that by some twist of fate, the Leprechauns will mess it all up.  To me it sounds like she's got a plan  for someone to blame it on.  To her, she's worried about all that work for nothing.

These do not look as interesting in a photo as in person.....

  1. It looks like the fairies have been painting again! Love the pics.
    'love & hugs from afar'

  2. If only there were fairies to do the dishes or the laundry :-)

These webs are gorgeous but since spiders give me the creeps I doubt I've have stuck around to take a picture!
