About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

PLAYING IN THE (FAKE) RAIN

I was messing around with my photo program again, still yet (yes, I have managed to eat, sweep and do the laundry...and mow) .  I DO miss painting and drawing but this is just so much more fun!  It is a breeze to erase if you don't like what you drew/painted.  I'm sure it wouldn't take someone who knew what they were doing much time to crank out something like this, but it seemed it took me at least 2 hours!!!  And yes, I know there are raindrops on the border...I did that on purpose.  In case you don't see this the same way I intended, it is a storm over the water.

I don't think I ever told you that my MRI shows that my left knee has a torn meniscus.  Doc was ready to do surgery but I asked him if we could wait and see how it goes as long as I didn't have to have another MRI.  I'm hoping if I keep ice on it when it starts to bother me that I can avoid surgery on that knee for a while.  Other than that, nothing else showed up on the MRI.

Hope you all are having a great start to the holiday weekend.  Be safe!!

  1. Hope this humidity doesn't bother your knee even more...so sorry you are going to need surgery in the future but at least then the pain will go away for good.

  2. Retired One, no the weather doesn't seem to affect it, just mainly what I do affects it. Then a couple of days ago, I pulled a muscle in my groin and today it hurts like heck!! I thought keeping active as you got older would help keep the pains away??!!
