About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

THE WIND JUST WON'T STOP!!

The heavy storms have missed us for the most part but there were some dramatic moments and I got a couple of photos (of course, are you surprised??).

One is before the storm and one is after the storm.

before the storm and after the storm
After the storm

This season has started off like a herd of turtles.  I think I've found the perfect 2nd job for me.  I'm going to drive an adult ice cream truck and offer daiquiris and margaritas for all adults.  Who wants to be an investor??  I lost my job changing the prices at the pump because everyone in Newberry became digitized.

The mosquitoes have been pesky at night when we're trying to sleep.  Why is that anyway??  I know they are out day AND night.  When do they sleep??  But I've come up with an idea.  I'm going to leave a mosquito carcass on the wall, or where ever I happen to smack the next little SOB to give them a full understanding of the situation here.  ARRGGHHH!!!!!

Well, it was an early morning yesterday (Wednesday) and so far it is an early morning today.  I put Red Bull in my coffee pot this morning instead of water.  Right now I'm so wired I can actually see noises!!!  (Those of you who know me would know I really wouldn't do that...right???  heeee heeee)

Later!!!

  1. The wind has died down here but it was wild yesterday. We will be busy cleaning up from the storm in May. It was a freak wind storm here that took 6 trees out on our property. Oh well, we needed something to do-we were planning on relaxing. :)

  2. Brenda, that's a good way to look at it...something to do while you were planning on relaxing. It always happens.

  4. Retired One. Thanks. It was pretty scary looking. I have hopes of "capturing" lightening sometime. But I'm not so hopeful that I will fry myself over it!
