About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

what kind of monster do you think I am??

CAN YOU TELL HOW MUCH FUN I AM HAVING WITH THIS PHOTO STUFF????  Of course, I'll probably have to have carpal tunnel surgery and a ganglion cyst removed from all the mousing I'm doing.  I've also noticed that with the very fine details that I am clenching my teeth, so I'll probably have to include a trip to the dentist.  And, when I sit down to "mess with a photo", I hate to leave the computer for very long, so we'll probably have to put a drinking fountain in my office (I have a LARGE cup of water, but it seems to disappear quickly!)....and you know what I'll need after the drinking fountain....yep, you got it....a paper towel to wipe the water from my chin.

I received this photo from a neighbor who isn't a neighbor anymore but now lives down south.  I sure as hell hope this isn't something they see when they are mowing the yard!!

  1. Not sure what this is?

  2. It's a photo of a lizard that I played around with. The lizard REALLY does look like that (minus the foot because in the photo the foot was in the sand!). I don't know if it is a Gila Monster (spelling??) or just a big ass lizard!
