About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

Most of the time, I keep my blog light and don't get into the heavy stuff.  Sometimes I DO prefer to hide my head in the sand instead of knowing what is going on in the world, but the flooding and the tornadoes in Missouri and else where...you see that devastation on TV and you want to cry right along with these people.  One town has been totally wiped out; no post office, no cafe, no nothing.  And they might not qualify for federal aid.

We feel extremely fortunate and blessed that we are not those people and not enduring what they must be feeling and going through.  And I guess we are blessed that NORMALLY there are not tornadoes of that magnitude where we live.  We may get some horrendous winds, but nothing that has wiped any of us off the map.

With all the storms that there have been all over the world, don't ya kind of wonder if maybe SOMEONE is trying to tell us something?

So, even though I may not write about these things, I DO know about them and my heart and prayers are with all of these people AND the animals.
