About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

I can tell you it is NOT a macro shot of anything.  More photos to follow in a day or two.

It is supposed to be HOT here today!!!  But there is a cold front coming thru which could lead to severe weather.  As much rain as we've had, we're way behind on our mowing again!  But with hardly any tourists in the U.P. so far, I am not in any big rush to mow and buy more gas for the mowers.  One mower takes 10 gallons, the other rider takes 7 gallons, the little rider takes 4 gallons and of course there are two push mowers which don't get used a lot, but it all adds up.

Catch ya later!  And don't forget to guess what that photo is of!

  1. either a skeleton of something, or some really cool driftwood....my grama used to collect driftwood and she got a couple of neat pieces that resembled different things is some way...

  2. first thought was some kind of skull ~ I'm guessing a deer skull with a piece of antler - but YUCK!
    'hugs from afar'

  3. Amy, I DO love to photo driftwood, but even though that's a good guess, it isn't drift wood.

Cher, nope, not a skull. In fact it isn't any thing yucky...
