About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

I COULDN'T RESIST!!

I've got a big kink in my neck tonight.

I spent a lot of time this afternoon "under the blossoms".  The little bees are attracted to the smelly pear blossoms and the bumble bees are attracted to a tree that we don't know what it is for sure (pix in another day or two).

So, there I was, wandering around under the trees, following the bees...and looking up most of the time.

While I haven't gotten the shots I wanted YET, I do have some flower shots to share with ya.

THINK SPRING IN DA U.P!!

  1. Wow Cathy-- These could be framed and hung on the wall in any home. They are gorgeous. Sorry about the kink in your neck but thanks for the sure signs of Spring.

  2. Joanna, THANKS!!! That means a lot coming from you! I'm beginning to think my neck is giving me TMJ...or I clench my teeth at night. I wake up with awful jaw aches and neck aches, but I want those shots of the bees!!

  3. Just wonderful! and it does give me hope. We have a zillion apple trees in our yard and we wait every year for them to bloom.
