About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME???

I still managed to get a bit of bird watching in yesterday.  We were outside working on the 5th wheel, getting ready to haul out of here on Monday.

We took the wheel covers off and added air to the 5th wheel tires, had to add a bit to the truck tires.  Dan took the leaf blower on the roof (which was a feat for him to just get up there!) to try to get rid of all the pollen (basically because it was expected to rain today so he hoped to get the stuff off before it rained) and blow any extra stuff off from the slide outs.

I can't remember what else we did yesterday but we're both sore!

And it IS raining today and expected to rain part of Sunday.  Monday looks to be good traveling weather.  We HOPE to make it as far as Crittedon, KY Monday night but we're not going to push it.  That will depend on when we actually leave on Monday.

I just got off the phone with friend living in the Upper Peninsula near the Canadian border. He said that since early this morning the snow has been nearly waist high and is still falling.
The temperature is dropping way below zero and the north wind is increasing to near gale force.
His wife has done nothing but look through the kitchen window and just stare.
He said  that if it gets much worse, he may have to let her in.
GEEZ I HOPE IT ISN'T LIKE THAT WHEN WE GET BACK TO NEWBERRY! WE'RE NOT THAT FAR FROM CANADA!!

  1. Love the birdie shots, what kind of bird is that?
Here on Monday it is supposed to be in the 40's and sunny, so no fear!
