Miss Kitty has her limp back again. I think the cold weather must affect her and probably that slide down the hill on her butt didn't help.
But the past couple of days have been nice weather. The ice on our driveway/road is slowly melting but a lot of it is shaded so it will take a while. It is about 50 today. Last night was the first night in it seems like forever that we didn't dip water out of a bucket (that we kept in the shower) to flush the toilet. WE WERE ABLE TO LEAVE THE HOSE HOOKED UP!!! What a modern treat!!! Ya miss little things like that.
This is the first of our 4 days off and nothing much planned since we know some of the side roads still are in terrible shape as far as being covered in ice. We found out that the Pizza Hut, which is about 3 miles from us, has pizza buffet Monday through Friday so we'll probably go for pizza tomorrow for a late lunch (that way we won't have to worry about supper!). Tuesday we plan on going to the movies again. I think we're going to see Little Fockers. I would like to see Season of the Witch but I don't think Dan would really enjoy it that much. There are 12 movies there to choose from.
I watched part of the Atlanta Falcons/Green Bay Packers game with Dan last night. I think I made it to about 9:45 before I got disgusted and gave up. Atlanta, at that point WAS ahead, but when it was all over, you know who won, right?? There seemed to be a lot of missed "opportunities" for TDs (on both sides for that matter!)while I was still up so that is why I went to bed.
Looks like the Seahawks and Chicago Bears are playing in snow today.
I know my last several posts have been kind of lame and boring, but my thinking cap needs to be polished...plus I've been driving myself nuts with those "find the word" puzzles.
Have you seen that new Mentos commercial where the girl is shrieking about the spider?? If not, look for it. THAT is me all over.
So, just wanted to let ya know we're OK!
- Cathy Clementz
- A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!
