About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

I'm still learning with the new camera and since it has been so cold (there is ice on the lake this a.m.) I haven't been outside with it a lot...mainly just a lot of quick shots.

So these aren't anything special but thought I would share them.

The first two are obviously of a sun rise taken within basically seconds of each other.  It always amazes me how quickly things change with sunrise and sunsets.

And this one is obviously that elusive blue heron

  1. Your new camera seems to like it's new owner! Excellent shots! Love the pics.

  2. Cher, you are TOO kind! I know these aren't anything special and I can't wait till I can really get serious with the new camera! Thanks!

  3. NOTHING SPECIAL!~ Are you nuts? These were two of the best pictures you have given us so far, Cathy! Just wonderful!

  4. Retired One..that means a lot coming from you! Just think what I (hopefully) can accomplish once I can be outside without gloves and more than 10 seconds at a time!

  5. Those photos are just amazing!
Oh and yes, your email went straight to my Junk folder! Luckily for you I opened it this morning and realised it wasn't JUNK! *smiles*

  6. Chris, Thanks! I appreciate it. Glad you found my email!
