About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

Yesterday I posted photos of the poppies ready to burst out of their pods. Today I'm posting shots I took of a few of the poppies after they "burst".

I'm not much of a posy person but I always enjoy the poppies.

I don't know when I'll be posting again since I have to be at the hospital tomorrow at 7 a.m for my little knee operation (I don't mean my knee is little but the operation is!).

As they say Take time to smell the flowers!

Beautiful colors!!! Hope you are bacak on your feet soon. I tried to post a comment a moment ago and got some weird error message so if it posts twice that is why.

  2. I love poppies! Great photos of yours, Cathy! My orange ones blew down in the rain yesterday (they always do this, don't they?)..and now I am waiting for my light peach colored ones to bloom...I hope to catch some photos of them myself! Everything seems a little early this year in my garden.

  3. Ooops...forgot my P.S.:
Hope your knee surgery goes well tomorrow...I will be thinking of you and praying that all goes well and that you will have less pain soon...

  4. we will be thinking of you and praying for you and your knee.

  5. SO beautiful Kathy-- both posts of poppies. We have tons of them her in Los Angeles-- fields full. You can't help but smile when you see them
