About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

NUTTIN' MUCH

My song birds (meaning those readers who identify songs) missed one quite a few posts back, so I'll give it to you...YOU BETTER SHOP AROUND, or sometimes sung as YA BETTER SHOP AROUND.

Dan's in the shower...again! Hey, as soon as he gets done, I'm next!! SO GOOD TO HAVE GOOD WATER!!! Just passing time, so we can go down to the lobby and get a motel breakfast! Last night we walked over to Subway for supper.

We'll be leaving here soon though and heading to my sisters to get the camper set up (she has two showers we can pick from!). In regards to NOT using our shower in our camper and why don't we...a couple of reasons. The main reason is we are trying to keep our 5th wheel looking brand new in case we ever want to sell it or trade it in. It has a very nice shower, with the frosted glass "walls" and some of the water we've had to hook up to, well, the shower wouldn't be brand new and shiny looking. 2nd, there is the issue of moisture from the shower and no place for it to go when the weather isn't good enough to open windows or vents. And lastly, the past couple of months we did not have a full hook up and it was bad enough once a week having to dump our tanks into a blue tote and haul that to the dump station.

Even with the cooking, there are certain things I won't cook inside the 5th wheel. Dan likes to cook on his grill anyway so it works out fine. I won't cook splattery, greasy things in the 5th wheel (bacon tastes better on the grill anyway), burgers, fish...you get the idea. The smell gets into everything. AND, as I said we want to keep it looking and smelling like new!! Ya never know when we might want to upgrade and we KNOW where we plan on shopping...GENERAL RV. I've mentioned them to you before, but if you are in the market for an RV, check them out.

Later!!
