About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

GREEN, GREEN GRASS OF HOME

OK, maybe we ARE getting a little anxious to get back home to da U.P.

When the snow has gone, the mud dries up, things start to turn green and the trees start to leaf out, our property is such a beautiful sight!! And when the cherry trees blossom, it is just picture perfect.

Hopefully these photos will put YOU in the mood for camping!! And maybe you'll consider a stay with us.

Visit us on the web at www.northcountrycampground.com. We have a very detailed website and lots of links to area attractions.

Remember to just
PUT YOURSELVES IN OUR PLACE!!

  1. Being Yoopers ourselves we may have to give your place a try and if we're just passing through you may still get a visit! Looking forward to meeting you this summer:)

  3. I can't wait for us to get green again either...the buds are coming out on the trees but not on the Cherry or Apple trees yet....but all the snow is gone from our yard (YAY) and we are supposed to get really nice weather this coming week....loving it! It will be great to have you back in the U.P. so we can stop by and say hi as we trek around again this summer!!

  7. Anonymous, I don't blame you for not wanting to make a long trip when you've got such a beautiful state!!!

Diff. Thinkr, you are welcome! And actually this particular type of motorcycle is referred to as a trike because it has 3 wheels instead of 2.
