About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

Not to brag or anything, but I won a small award with this photo earlier this week. I hadn't posted it on Yarns yet because I couldn't at the time.

These remind me of an art form that we did in grade school where you draw something really pushing hard on those crayons and then fold the hpaper in half and rub and rub till the drawing also sows on the othr side of the paper. pretty.

Ok! I am jealous! Great pictures! And i am glad you are getting some warm weather and sunshine. Are you anxious to get home to the U.P. or are you ready to become a southern girl? Take care. sorry about the dentist thing. That is no fun!

  5. Anonymous, I know what you mean! I remember doing that "art" in 2nd grade! I can't remember what it is called either!!

Sandy, No need to be jealous, it wasn't a big award, but it made me feel good. Kind of like being in the top 5 out of 100 entries. Nope, not anxious to get home at all but we are anxious to start making an income again so we can leave again in the fall!! The dentist thing isn't as scary as I thought it would be...mainly because I hurt so much and want it done! thanks!!
