About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

We're still here!!! Just been busy with little odds and ends of things.

Hopefully winter is behind us (in Texas anyway). The past two days have been NICE! And we are supposed to have a week of NICE!!! 60 degrees day time, NOT FREEZING at night time!! Has there been much snow in LOWER Michigan???

There really isn't much for me to write about at this time; laundry, baking muffins, sweeping, cleaning up a really nasty campsite (after the people checked out after being here for 2 days...how can people be so "uncaring"?? It was a MESS!!).

Catch up with yawl, you all, ya'll...later!

not much snow here in the southeast lower, about 4-5 inches just north of detroit

  2. I will let you know next week or so...I probably will be taking a trip down there.

"I'm Still Standing" - Elton John (1983). In Battle Creek area we just had eight or so inches and might get some more in a few days, we still have about 6 - 8 inches on the ground right now.

  4. Wilson, has it been that way most of the "winter"??

Retired One...I forgot you might be headed out again!

Gary, VERY good!! I need to look at the Gaylord and Cadillac trail reports to see how things are in that area. I know businesses are hurting BAD in the U.P., or at least in the EASTERN U.P.
