About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

I want to thank everyone that reads Yooper Yarns and let you know I much I appreciate the readers and the comments. I feel badly that I am not able to "get back" to you with MY -comments too! I haven't had a chance to even read the few blogs that I do read so forgive me for that.

I THINK tomorrow will be a "quiet" day so I might get caught up on some other things as well as my blog! I have so much to write about!!! It could take a while!

And to "my" sled -heads (AKA snowmobilers); I am enjoying hearing from you guys and gals but please help me spread the word that I am NOT responsible for ANY of the trail reports or ANY of the content. If you want to email me just to keep in touch, that is great, but I can't help with trail info nor will complaining to me about the trails or trail report do any good. You need to go to www.tasatrails.com, home page, left hand side and there you will find a list of the board members and THEIR email addresses. So compliments or complaints go to them. Thanks!!

And I hope to be back tomorrow!!!
