About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

Time has gotten away from both Dan and me! I've got a lot to share with you when I have the time..even had a couple of requests for that chocolate cake so some day I will try to get that recipe on here for those who LOVE chocolate cake!!

I don't have time right now to give Yarns my full attention. Tomorrow looks to be a little more free and hopefully my brain will be functioning!!

In the meantime, hope you will "bear" with me and I'll be back in full Yooper mode soon!!

  1. No problem, Cathy..my reading will be off and on for the next two weeks too..we are on the road on the way to Florida via car so when I have WiFi and enough time, I will check your blog too....we should be there by Friday and stay a week on the beach. Can't wait to get some warm sun!!

  2. Glad you guys are doing good! Hope you had a good Thanksgiving holiday.

  3. Retired One...you've been waiting for this trip for a while so enjoy it!!! Don't worry about blogs!!

Ashley, we had a good Thanksgiving except Dan felt ill most of the day but was "himself" by the afternoon.
