About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

Dan and I are headed to Sault Ste. Marie today (AKA The Soo) to stock up on things we need for our trip and hopefully I can find a different winter coat (and hopefully I won't need it if I do find one!). The one I have is so bulky (but brand new!) that I looke like a brown Michelin Tire Man.

Just a quick shout out to Tractor Guy (one of our readers) from Grand Rapids! He suprpised me with a phone call last night to wish us well on our adventures this winter. He plans on stopping by next time they are headed for Grand Marais....holding ya to it!!!

  1. Have a great adventure trip, my friend.

And hi! I wrote a short story recently. Follow the link if you'd like to go through it - http://jstgibberish.blogspot.com/2009/10/encounter-short-story.html

  2. Hey, I kinda like the Michelin tire coat look..:-)
When I bundle up for winter, just my eyes are visible....you know the U.P!!

Hope you had a fun time in the Soo and that you have fun meeting DVM's wife..am anxious to hear about their visit too. I am sooo behind in reading other's blogs and in posting my own. Spent all day today at MGH with my brother. He did have to have two stents put in and is spending the night in the hospital. He did fine with the procedure and should be home tomorrow.
Boy am I glad we went to see you when we did..the weather here today was awful! cold, rainy and in the 40's with wind.

  3. Hope your shopping trip is a success!!!
