About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

THESE are the old Kodak photos that I told you about in one of my "LOVE AFFAIR WITH A BRIDGE" posts. The one of me in the swing was taken outside the cabin that my daughter and I stayed at and the bottom one is "sitting on the dock of the bay" waiting for the ferry to get off Mackinac Island and back to Mackinaw City. I don't know what the hell happened to this Pretty Young Thing except she got older, wiser and put on some weight!!! And just an FYI, I really am not a conceited person but I love to use song titles when possible so the PYT and "dock of the bay" fit in nicely!

  1. Cathy - gorgeous photos of you!!!

  2. Shelley, HA! Thanks!!! Too bad I haven't exactly aged gracefully!!!

  3. Gary / Battle Creek4:23 PM

Great looks and likes to fish too....Dan's a lucky man.

  4. Gary, I wish for Dan's sake I still looked like this!! But we get older and things go in different directions (like the scales in the bathroom for example!)

  5. Now I know why you are so beautiful now...look at you then. Girl, if I EVER would have looked THAT good at anytime in my life, I would have been grateful.

  6. Retired One...blush....now I have my mother's "neck", short hair and since we now know one shouldn't be exposed to the sun for longer than a moment, not much of a tan anymore. Those were the days, huh??? Young and foolish!!

  7. sfeutz8:49 AM

I would have recognized you anywhere! Nice pictures and great to have you back full speed!

  8. Sandy, You've been gone from here a LOOOONNNNGGGGG time!!! I am very grateful to be back to full speed!! Hope to finish up the love affair story tomorrow!
