Can you imagine the joy, the rush of cruising along at 100 miles per hour, the wind stinging your eyes, your hair flowing out behind you and then all of a sudden...BAM!!!
No, not an accident; more like a big bump in the road...known as DIAL UP!! Cripes sakes!! After 4 days of not using my high speed AT ALL, my FAP threshold is still at 93.76%. At least it isn't 99.5% anymore!!! So, my speed varies from 24.6 to 26.4 kbps.
It took me over 5 minutes to just respond to the comments made on the last post. I have managed to visit ONE of the blogs that I follow. How did we EVER manage with just dial up many years ago??? I need Calgon to take me away!!!!
I want very much to visit the few blogs I follow but I just don't have the time nor do I want to tie up our 2nd phone line so please don't think I'm ignoring any of ya!!
So, yep, high speed internet has to be the best thing since sliced bread!
- Cathy Clementz
- A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!
