About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

RED, RED ROBINS (well, SORT of red!)

baby robins

baby robins

AHHHH....doesn't that sun feel good??? Where's Mom?? I'm gettin' hungry again!

  1. Soooooooo cute, those baby Robin mugshots!
    You got so close!

  2. I kept waiting to get swooped by one of the parents but what DID swoop me was a cedar waxwing! GO FIGURE! And I got SO bit up by black flies that were (was??) hanging in those leaves...I didn't know it till I got back in the office and couldn't stop itching!

  3. Adorable! Perfect little birds :)

I wished in the worst way to stop by but we didn't quite make it over that way. Next time! :)

  4. Ahley, I'll hold you to that! As long as you get here before October 17th!!

  5. Huh, that just must mean another trip to the UP before fall hits. Hmmmm....I couldn't think of a better reason why :)

  6. Ashley, And the colors might be coming on by then too!! I still plan on updating the Eastern U.P. fall color report online!
