About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

A PRAYER FOR A FAMILY

As you know, I've not been visiting blogs recently (hope to start being faithful about that again next week!). One of the blogs I follow is DVM'S Wife's Life. A link to her blog is in the right hand column.

Very recently, her husband had unexpected surgery. I'm going to leave it to you and hope you might find time to read her post yesterday (or real early this a.m.). Regardless of whether you read it or not, please say a prayer for her husband, her kids and her...

Thank you.

  1. Oh Cathy, I just read DVM's Wife's Life. What an amazing family and how sad they are going through such a rough time. I'm sending love and prayers their way. Thanks for letting us know.

  2. Thanks Cathy for mentioning this. I hadn't read blogs for a couple of days and completely missed the developments with their family. I will be praying for them.

  3. Cathy, Thank you for thinking of us and mentioning this on your blog. I appreciate your prayers and encouragement from da' U.P. eh! I'll tell Yooper about the U.P. vibes coming his way.
He's been thinking about his camp so much. It is such a great place to be and he hopes to get up there soon.

  4. Joanna, This family owns property some place north of us (they live downstate) so I DO hope to meet them sometime! Which means if we DO all meet, that her hubby is back to his old self!

SWB, you are welcome. I feel badly that I hadn't realized this was happening till now.

  5. DVM's Wife...Dan and I both believe in the power of prayer and positive thinking and I know you do too, so keep that positive energy flowing. And, as I said in a response to Joanne, once your hubby is mended and the family can get up here to the property, WE NEED TO MEET!!

  6. Thanks for thinking of doing this for them...I know they have many many friends and bloggers praying for them (including you and me) but getting more people to do that is always a good idea! you are a sweetheart.

  7. Retired One, anyone else would have done the same thing and I know all of us that read her blog were already praying. But it doesn't hurt to get more on the chain.
