About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

NEGLIGEE SHOWER CURTAINS; the continuing saga

Remember a couple of days ago, I posted the story about the totally unsatisfactory shower curtains?

Today, I returned them via UPS at my expense. Remember they said I could not return them but I was able to print a return label with THEM paying the shipping charges??? I did NOT want to take a chance that by using THEIR prepaid label that they would refuse them so I spent $8.49 to return them this morning.

Also going out in the snail mail today is a letter to their CEO explaining my dissatisfaction, etc.

While I was running my errands this a.m. someone from the Comfort House called and told Dan that they WOULD accept the return and credit my card. GEEZ, and they haven't even seen my letter to the CEO yet! In my letter I did tell him that these hotel curtains would be like hanging a negligee on a shower curtain rod.

So, just thought I'd bring you up to speed that it appears that Comfort House IS going to make it right.

Catch ya later!!

HEY, BTW, Chef Fred Fritz...that soup and those biscuits were excellent! I want the recipe for the biscuits!!

  1. Glad they refunded your money...but hopefully their letter will offer another compensation (a gift certificate or something.) I am so glad you DID write to the CEO. The leaders of these type of hassle companies need to know how their policies need to be changed and how frustrating it is for their customers!
I can't wait to see what they say when they answer you.
