ALL WORTH WHILE

I had a very special surprise about 30 minutes ago.

Two gals came into the lobby and asked if I was Cathy. The first thought that flashed through my brain was "who wants to know" and "what did I do". But, I owned up to being who (whom??...hmmmmm, doesn't sound right) I am.

If these two gals gave me their name, I forgot BOTH of them in the excitement (and the relief of not being on the side of "what did I do"), but I can tell you they are from Ann Arbor and are up here at their property North of us for a little R & R...and they are Yooper Yarns fans!!! They were able to recite stories to me that I had written way back when and had even forgot about! I tell ya, I'm losing it!!

So thanks to you gals for stopping by and introducing yourselves. It was truly a pleasure to spend some time with you! People like you make it all worth while!

We stopped by to meet you last year. We started following you when you started giving the daily fire updates. We still read your blog faithfully.

Brenda and Richard, I DO remember you because we talked about Cedar Point and how you use to take the kids several times a year.

Thank you for being faithful readers!

How wonderful!!!
It would be so neat to meet fellow bloggers, especially those that leave frequent comments.
Don't worry, if I am coming to see you, I will warn you first. ha
We do need to meet up with DVM's Wife, Shellmo to talk about photography and the U.P. sometime...maybe later this fall?

Retired One...I need all the warning I can get to be able to keep up with you!!!

I do hope all of us can get together before Dan and I head out. THAT would be fun! We could make it a real girls "night" event!

Joanna, No, they didn't but I have had snowmobilers ask for my autograph when I was updating all the snowmobile trail reports! Thank goodness no one asked to have their picture taken with me!!

About Me

My Photo
Cathy Clementz
A long time ago, I was a child. For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We own and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). I am a determined, but diplomatic person. A diplomat is someone who can tell you to go to hell in such a way you look forward to the trip (and if you are REALLY diplomatic, that person will pick up a souvenir for you on the return trip!). I updated the Eastern U.P. Trail report from 1997 to 2009. I have served on the Newberry Area Chamber of Commerce Board and served as Secretary/membership/website maintenance and trail reporter for the Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association (TASA for short)from around 2001 to March 2009. Dan was a groomer operator from 2001 to 2009. Dan and I enjoy living in "da U.P." but are looking to other adventures as we cruise through our lives together!
