I got a lot more shots yesterday and even managed to get some close up of the deer flies (not on purpose, they landed on the lens just as I clicked!). I have more to share as long as my computer keeps plugging away. You can see his "tongue" if you look closely.

My laptop won't be back till next week and this old one is making me very nervous so I may not even attempt to do things that don't pertain to business. So, if you don't hear from me or I don't respond to any comments, please understand I'm not ignoring anyone. The old computer is SO SLOW even after a defrag and some other things that I know enough to do.
But in the meantime, the best thing to do for more info about these guys is Google them. If you don't know what you are looking for, they are sometimes very hard to find.
And the lilacs DO smell nice!!
