About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

SPRINGTIME IN NORTHCOUNTRY

Some of the cherry trees are in blossom and it just looks so pretty out in our park this time of year.

It also looks pretty empty. We had 6 campers check out this a.m. and there are 5 remaining....to the backside, which you can't see in this shot!

We took turns mowing yesterday and it's a good thing we did...it rained all night and most of today. Still got a LOT of mowing to do yet!

  2. Just stopping by via Joanna's blog, hope you don't mind.

I had to leave a comment because I read that you and your hubby own and operate a campground. We just may have alot in common...hubby and I have been looking for one to buy for the past year. We just haven't found the right one yet. Maybe you can give us some pointers.

    Have a great weekend!

  3. Joanna, and they make a good place for the "buzzin' bees"! What really looks like snow is when the poplar trees shed their "fuzz".

  7. DVM's Wife, this Memorial Day is the best we've had since 2005 and that isn't saying a whole lot. Bridge crossings are up 4% for May so hopefully it will be a continuing trend!

Yep, I did tell that gal our park is for sale. Someday the exact, right person will come along!
