About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

BATHING BEAUTIES

The bluebirds have not started using this bath yet. Instead they are using the "water dish" that is outside the dining room window. And they are very modest...in other words, don't look at them while they are bathing! Hopefully they will start using the other bath and I can get photos of them.

The chipmunk had been "standing on his head" with his little butt up in the air, bent over getting a drink and apparently he has eyes in the back of his head. He KNEW I was trying to get his butt shot!

Enjoy what's left of the weekend!!

  2. Shellmo, we get a LOT of enjoyment out of the bird bath. It is a PAIN to clean when the weather is warm and it gets "scummy".

  3. The bird bath looks amazing...we have been too lazy to get one due to the cleaning, but maybe now that you have inspired me. ha

  4. Retired One, this one isn't as hard to clean as the first one I had. It was 3 tiered and had "cascades" of water going into each tier, ending up in a deep one that was a B to clean.
