About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE??

Tell me what is right about this;

It is easier for a wanna be terrorist from God knows where or illegals to cross the border to get into the U.S, get a job, identification (whether for real or not) than it is for an honest citizen of Canada to purchase a business in the U.S.

Does that seem right?

Ya know our park is for sale. About 6 weeks ago, we had a VERY interested potential buyer from Sudbury. A very savvy business man and his family. He had BIG plans for our park which would have also helped the area too. He wanted to come back and see it when the snow was gone so he could get a real feel for it and so he could figure out where he wanted to put the additional buildings, etc.

He and his family are exactly the type of people that we PRAY will become the owners of our park. Someone to pick up where we left off...

It appears that it isn't going to work out due to all the legalities of getting Visa's and whatever else is involved. He is ready to make a purchase NOW; not a year from now. Or however long it would take to make it legal and happen.

So instead he will be searching for that perfect park in Canada....
