About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

OK, I've had quite a few requests to continue my Zen thoughts here since I won't be doing the snowmobile trail reports anymore (which is where I posted the thoughts).

Since I don't have that many lined up, it'll probably be something more like ZEN THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK. If you have any funny ones or thought provoking ones you'd like to send me, please do at northcountrycampground@gmail.com.

SO HERE IS THE THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK(some of the thoughts DO require some thinking on your part!);

Silence is golden; duct tape is silver.....

  1. Hee! Hee! Good one. I'm looking forward to your Zen days.

  2. Ahhh....
    but silver duct tape can sometimes provide golden silence.....
    (if placed over offender's mouth).
    According to Toivo (not Confucious!) (Forgot how to spell Confucious!) hahaaaaaaaaaa

  3. DVM's wife...Hope I don't run out of them!

  4. Retired One...THAT was the thoughth process behind my statement "you'll have to think about some of these" (or however I worded it). You got it!

  5. OH! I forgot to mention...some duct tape only lasts 15 years! (see previous story about tapes)
