About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

The photos aren't anything special...hard to get good shots when you break out in hives just looking out the window!

  1. I love the lighthouse pic! Glad you made it home okay from your trip. I know I am so sick of this weather! Today it is just nasty out. Ugh!

  2. DVM's wife...it was fun getting away, such as it was. I was kind of disappointed in the shot of the lighthouse. The sun HAD been out for a while. At least you can see the lighthouse needs a coat of red paint!

-20 this a.m....at least I had water to shower!

How in the heck long of a time did it take you to get use to the keyboard on a laptop?? If I didn't correct my errors, you would all think I couldn't type!!

  3. Glad to hear you made it home safe! Thank you for sharing your pictures :)

  4. Ashley, Thanks! I wish it had been a nicer day and that there was still ice formations on the lighthouse.
