About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

NEWBERRY, MICHIGAN SNOW BUNTINGS

I didn't get my new camera out to take these photos. As I told ya in a previous post, these little birds are very shy. They just happened to be close to the house so I managed to snap two photos quickly using the smaller digital before they realized I was even looking in their direction.
I had a post almost ready to add but when I plugged into my USB port to upload these two photos, my whole computer shut down and restarted. I don't have a CLUE as to what caused that (do you??). So the article I was working on is PHFFFTTTT and at the moment I've lost my momentum to redo it. I'm waiting for a cake to cool so I can frost it! Hey, if you had the Irresistible Chocolate Cake waiting to be frosted, you wouldn't be thinking of what you HAD been writing about either! The chocolate frosting is also Irresistible! After you frost it, the cake is supposed to set for 4 hours before you even cut it! Yeah, right!

  1. I say eat the cake now! Then maybe the sugar buzz will bring your memory back to you.
We feed birds all winter too. We had quite an array of birds stopping by last winter. A bit quiet so far, but I'm sure after this cold snap they will come for some food.
Stay warm. I know you guys are supposed to be way colder than us!

  2. I'd say that too, but then when Dan gets home in the early a.m. from grooming, he would see that I didn't wait for him...kind of hard to hide that gaping spot where a piece of cake use to be!

We're working on staying warm! It is down to 3 degrees right now at 7:30 p.m!

Your blog is on my list of things I want to do SOON!
