About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

GROOMING THE TAHQUAMENON FALLS TRAIL

Hubby, Groomer Dan, took these photos yesterday while on the Falls Trail (#45). LOTS of snow! And LOTS of sleds! He said the Brew Pub parking lot was full!!

  1. Hey everyone, when I look at these photos I posted this morning, it makes me already miss being involved with snowmoilers! It is going to be extremely strange next winter not being involved! Not hearing from sledders, etc. I just wish I could stand to be out "in it"!

  2. Wow it looks awesome up there! My husband and I are heading up there next weekend and plan to see the falls and have a brew at the brewery. Is the gift shop open too?
    Great pictures!!

  3. I'm not sure if the gift shop is open this time of year or not. I'm guessing not due to staffing and heating it.

    Have a safe trip up!
