About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

3 NUTS FROM OHIO

Do you remember the story from last winter, around this same time of year, about the 3 guys from Ohio who helped TASA get the groomer "out of the ditch"?? Since they are from Ohio, the Buckeye State, I labeled them the 3 NUTS FROM OHIO...and hoped they would not take offense at it.

Apparently, they did NOT take offense! The photo is what their snowmobile helmets now look like! (Well, I knew LONG ago, they had not taken offense. Seems they kind of like the nickname!)

Tina, a wife of one of the Nuts emailed me this photo today and told me the guys were very excited to be coming up this weekend and hoped to meet the rest of the crew!

Last year after they had returned home, Dan and I recieved this HUGE box in the mail (or maybe it was UPS, can't remember). It was full of big bags of potato chips; varieties of potato chips! We took quite a few of the bags to the TASA barn to leave for the rest of the crew.

Anyway, it is Nuts like these guys that Dan and I will truly miss when I am no longer TASA secretary/trail reporter and Dan is no longer grooming!
