About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

THIS is kind of how I imagined that hitchiking kitty (only not naked!)

  1. Maybe the cat was naked by the time you got to Ohio!

  2. SBW, HA! Maybe that is why she was frantically cleaning herself; to see how much fur she had lost!

That cat puts the "U" in yoogly !!! Think I'll stick with my bluetick.....lol

  4. Gary, that is one ugly cat. I know there are hairless breeds of cats but I can't imagine petting one, let alone having one rub up against you! Seems like it'd feel like petting an old tire!

So where is the cat now?
Did you leave it in Ohio on the curb?

  6. Jon, we don't know where the cat is now and yes we did leave it at the rest area in Ohio. It wasn't paying any attention to us when we came out to get in the truck. I know that sounds sad and cruel but there wasn't any way we would attempt to bring a cat home with us...especially knowing we'd be staying in a motel room that night. I've thought about that cat and her ride and HOPED she actually rode in the box of the truck and not someplace UNDER it.
