About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

"THE HILLS ARE ABLAZE..."

Well, maybe not the hills, but with the sun setting in the west and shining on the trees in the east, it looked like the trees were ablaze!

  1. Wow, what an awesome shot! I took my 3 little guys out this morning and took a few pics but not sure if any turned out. I'm afraid I missed the best colors cause I kept forgetting my camera earlier in the week.
I think I will post whatever ones turn out tonight on my blog. I'd do it now but am feeling kinda lazy!

  2. Theresa, Thanks! I just took a quick hike into our woods along our nature trail. I didn't even think about taking my camera because I was on a mission to find Dan. He left quite some time ago to cut wood and I hadn't see him or heard the chainsaw in a long time so I was getting very concerned. Anyway, he is fine but was WAY out there...and on the way back I thought "WHY didn't you bring your camera??" My camera use to be like an extra appendage. Oh, well, I'll just have to take another jaunt through the trees!
