About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

MEETING MINUTES

A person asked if I could post some of the TASA meeting minutes for "non-Yoopers". I responded to that persons comment (in the previous post) letting them know I had been thinking about creating a new page on the TASA website for meeting minutes, but until then, I am going to post minutes from some of the more interesting meetings in the past season;

TAHQUAMENON AREA SNOWMOBILE ASSOCIATION

When TASA receives their monies from the State, the bill to Velvet Green will be paid. 2nd VP Ray Mahaffy wanted the previous minutes corrected to show that he was in fact representing TASA at the Village meeting and not attending due to his business. Motion by Jim Buckingham, 2nd by 2nd VP Ray Mahaffy to accept with changes. Carried.

The Raush Family from Ohio are TASA members and attended the meeting. They praised TASA and the groomers for the great job and wonderful trails. They also turned in a duffle bag they found along the trail. Secretary Cathy Clementz said she would do her best to find out who it belonged to (via the radio stations, message boards and Newberry News lost and found). The Rausch family made a $40 donation for the TASA website.

Mechanics Buzz Medalis and Jerry Wendling said the parts came in to put #9 back together so they would be staying after the meeting and hoped to have it up and running by 11 p.m.

    Cathy, i think it would be a good idea to make a page on the tasa website for the minutes. that way you wouldn't have to take up space on this site and probably you could also sned them out with the tasa talk group too?

  2. Anonymous, you are correct, I should just find the time and make that page on the TASA website and yes I can email the minutes to the TASA TALK distribution list. Possibly that is something I can do this fall. THanks!
