You know Dan and I have this dream of once we sell, we will become full time RV'ers. We are trying to get lined up for if and when that happens so we are "moving on up"...
First of all we have decided to sell Dan's pick up. There will be an ad in the Newberry News next week and on Tradio, but in case any of you are interested; it is a 1997 Ford F-150 XLT, 4WD, V8, 4.6 liter, automatic, sky hooks, tool box, sliding rear window, air, cruise, tilt, the tires have about 8000 (that is 8 thousand, not eighty thousand) miles on them and on a good day for highway driving Dan can get up to 18-20 mpg. Dan changed oil, etc every 3-4 thousand miles so maintenance has been kept up. It is Burgandy in color. We are asking $4800. You can check the book and see it is worth more than that.
Then the 2nd thing we are selling is our 2000 Starcraft pop up camper, model 1706. IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. We've had one big trip with it in 2004 (and our little quick trip downstate this spring) and it has been kept in Dan's shop. Because we do keep it inside, we are asking for ONLY serious inquiries becuase anyone looking at it would want us to bring it outside and set it up. It has an electronic ignition furnace, a small fridge, sleeps 6, sink, 4 place burner top that can be used inside or outside. We are asking $3000. for it. I pulled it with my Escape this spring and only lost about 2 mpg with it.
So the reason for selling these things is that we really don't need two vehicles and if we sell the truck and the camper we can put that towards getting (most likely) a nice, used 5th wheel and then eventually we will get a newer pick up (trade in my Escape XLT which is also in excellent condition! It is a 2004 and has 26,000 miles on it. Once I managed to get 33 mpg with it but normally on a trip it is between 26-28 and it is NOT a hybrid).
If anyone has any interest, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Catch up with ya later!
- Cathy Clementz
- A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!
