About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

Remember a week ago Tuesday when Dan and I had to go to the Soo and we got that heavy, wet snow??? Well, THIS PAST Tuesday we recieved another 10" of heavy, wet snow...it was heavier than the previous dumping. Mother Nature's idea of an April Fools joke I guess.
The past couple of days have given us sunshine and temps in the 50's so we've lost about 10" of that snow. These photos were taken this afternoon to show you we still have a LONG way to go to be rid of it! And the mornings have been just below freezing or right at the freezing mark so one needs to put cleats on in order to walk without falling down.
Take care!

  1. Gosh - when do you think that is going to melt??? :-)

  2. NOT SOON ENOUGH!! And when I start to see green blades of grass, I will post my Ode to the Lawn Mower!
