About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

WE ARE GROOMING!!

I AM SO FAR BEHIND I CAN SEE MYSELF COMING ROUND THE CORNER.

CURRENT TRAIL CONDITIONS:
TASA TRAILS;
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE IS AN 11:00 P.M. CURFEW IN THE VILLAGE OF NEWBERRY.
TASA headed out on # 9 north this a.m. We are only able to groom from 3-Mile and Northward, nothing can be groomed from town out to 3 mile yet. Groomer Stan is the man to get her open!

Groomer Dan (my hubby) has headed south to do the run from Newberry to Cut River and then to the Power Line towards Rexton. This will be about a 13-16 hour trip depending on the snow conditions.

#45 (to the Falls) cannot be groomed till after muzzle loading season is over.

I will not be posting trail reports on Yooper Yarns. I only put this up so you know we have started grooming. All trail reports can be found via http://www.northcountrycampground.com/, http://www.tasatrails.com/ or http://www.upsnowmobiling.com/.

Thanks.
