About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

Sometimes, all I need is the air that I breathe
And to have heat
All I need is the air that I breathe
And to have heat.....

AFTER ALMOST 3 WEEKS WE HAVE HEAT THAT DOESN'T STINK AND SMOKE!!! At least we THINK we do! So far so good!!! A different Furnace Fella (notice I use capital letters for this one!) just left here. The first fella put in a wrong part and to make matters worse he had it in BACKWARDS!!!! You have NO idea how much I am looking forward to a good nights sleep, assuming that Chewy will now sleep better too! I am hoping that has been a big part of her restlessness; this awful fuel oil smell every time the furnace comes on. HOPEFULLY THAT IS GONE FOR GOOD! You don't know HOW worried that we were gonna wake up and be dead! Or that because there was a wrong part on the furnace and it was letting too much fuel oil in that it was gonna burn out the backside of the furnace. And the furnace had started to rumble when it came on and shut off. I didn't want to end up being blown into the next county! CALL ME PARANOID!!!! But at least now I feel that if you DO call, I'll be able to answer!
