Last night, some good friends came over and helped me "welcome" my --th birthday (you fill in the blanks...you should be able to figure it out!). We had WAY too much to eat and just possibly a teeny too much to drink, although this morning I feel fine. I don't know about the rest of the "Rat Pack", but all I needed was to get the coffee going and I'm ready to face whatever this next year of the downside of youth brings me.
We had hoped to have a bonfire and spend the evening outside adding wood to the fire and staring up at the stars in the sky. That didn't work out due to the weather. At times it was clear and calm and other times it was spitting snow...the kind that looks like little Styrofoam beads. And 5 minutes later it would be raining sideways and the wind was howling.
This morning the sun is shining and it looks like it will be a gorgeous fall day. Hard to believe that it is almost November and with that COMES THE TIME CHANGE! FINALLY!!!!
Anyway, just wanted to stop by this a.m. and let you know that you aren't the only one who resembles a beast of sorts before that morning cuppa coffee!
Have a great day!

- A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!
