About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

I never thought of this but the Red Cross is taking clothing donations for the firefighters at 4 Mile Corner Market. They are getting things like men's undewear and socks. These guys pack in a hurry and don't have time to stop and do laundry so you can always go to the Family $$ store and pick up some cheap packs of undies and socks and drop off.

Also, one of the "desk guys" is in the Helen Newberry Joy Hospital. All I can tell you is his name is Ken and he is the "weather DNR guy". He has been so involved in his job and so busy that he neglected to eat and drink and basically dropped from exhaustion and lack of food and water. Send him a card!!! I am going to address mine as follows:

% Helen Newberry Joy Hospital
502 W. Harrie St.
Newberry, Mi. 49868
