About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

WE TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR RIDE!
TAHQUAMENON AREA SNOWMOBILE ASSOCIATION
The Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association (TASA) is celebrating its 20 year anniversary and we hope you will be a part of that celebration!

In honor of 20 years of dedication to the Newberry area, TASA is hosting an Open House! Included with the Open House, we will be holding a Rummage and Bake Sale! Not only will this Rummage and Bake Sale help raise seriously needed funds for TASA but it will benefit you too!

How does this benefit you?? You know you’ve always meant to “get around” to cleaning out the garage, or store room or the attic but didn’t know what to do with the “stuff”??? Business owners, perhaps you have items in your store or warehouse you can contribute. AND, any baked goods you would like to contribute would be gladly accepted.

Additionally, you will be able to see the TASA grooming equipment and talk with some of the groomer operators and various board members. The written History of TASA will also be available for you to read!

People or businesses donating items for the sale; there are just a few simple requests that we make;

1. Please, no clothing (however, TASA sweatshirts and caps will be available for purchase!)

2. If you have any unique items that only you might know the value of, please price that item for us.

3. Any items left over will need to be picked up or they will be disposed of.

You may drop off items at the TASA barn from May 21st to May 24th between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you can make a donation but need someone to pick up the item(s), please call Treasurer Judy Brown at 293-8819. You may also call the TASA barn at 293-3063. Please leave a message if no one is available at either number.

The Barn and Bake Goods Sale will be held at the TASA barn, located just north of the RR tracks on M-123, on May 25th and 26th between the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Help TASA celebrate their 20 year anniversary by making this a successful start to the 2007 summer tourism season!

Thank you for your support!
